I am embarking on a new business venture and would value your thoughts on the different companies offering machines.
It's been a while since I purchased any hardware and thought I'd check with you as to what is the most suitable/recommended... and the ones to steer clear of !
I would need to machine complex geometry in aluminium to high tolerances. The components are all 1 off, although many of the follow on parts would be off the same theme.
10% of the parts would be EN24t.
90%would have a 5x element to them.
10% would need some turning on them.
I've not selected a CAM package yet either...
I'm looking for the best bang for by buck and although I've not yet set a budget I'm prepared to invest significantly on this project to create the required capacity. Probably 10 milling machines.
I'm currently on route to a Mazak showroom to explore their range.
If you guys were setting up a new shop what would you buy and why?
Many thanks
Vince
